Formula Student – where our bearings compete in race cars

Formula Student is a competition where young engineers test their skills by building racing cars and testing them in practice. This year we were proud to support the OUR Team of Óbuda University.

Formula Student is an international design competition that has been held since 1981 and takes place annually at various locations around the world. More than 500 students participate each year.
Judges from Formula 1 and the automotive industry evaluate the cars according to 8 criteria, where static and dimensional aspects are also considered.

Since 2022, OUR Team is the Formula Student racing car development team of Óbuda University.
They achieved impressive results in both the 2023 and 2024 Formula Student races.
The quality of the components and the precision engineering are crucial factors for the success of the race cars.

The bearings used in racing cars play a key role in ensuring efficient operation at high speeds and under extreme loads. Bearings minimise friction and heat generation, improving the durability and stability of mechanical systems. The choice of the right bearings has a direct impact on the performance of the car, especially in the engine, transmission and chassis areas. In the racing car industry, bearings made of lightweight but strong materials that can withstand extreme conditions are particularly important.

We are a leading supplier of bearings and mechanical components.
The ball bearings, spherical joints and bushings provided to the OUR Team have helped to ensure that their race car performs at its best. These parts are essential to the reliability and dynamics of the car.

The results achieved, including the successful debut of their first and second race cars, demonstrate the value of working together and the importance of quality components.
We are delighted to congratulate the team on their achievements and proud to have supported them.
We believe that this is where young engineers gain the knowledge and experience they will later use in their professional lives.
