Lubrication system challenges in the chemical industry

  • Chemical resistance: lubricants must be resistant to chemicals to prevent corrosion, reactions or contamination. Lubricants musn’t react with chemicals used in manufacturing.

  • Safety and environmental protection: the lubricants used shouldn’t be harmful to workers or the environment. Ensure that the lubrication process doesn’t generate hazardous emissions or waste.
  • Standards and regulations: lubrication systems must comply with industry standards and local/regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO standards). Lubricants and systems used must also have the appropriate certifications.
