The requirements of each lubrication point can vary even within the same production line. Some need lubrication every month, others even every week. Preparation for the process is also time-consuming. Finding and loading the right lubricant into the grease gun for the specific point, preparing the tools, stopping the line if necessary.
The downtime alone is extremely costly, not to mention the time needed to repair a breakdown caused by insufficient lubrication.
Due to the nature of manual lubrication, over-lubrication is not uncommon, which is more dangerous than lack of lubricant in bearings running at high speeds. The rolling element slides instead of rolling, which, combined with increased contact resistance, can lead to overheating of the bearing.

Swiss company Simatec AG created its single and multi-point automatic lubrication system 25 years ago and has been continuously improving it ever since.

The simalube cartridges are available in five different sizes, from 15 ml to 250 ml. All jars are IP68 sealed and are inherently safe for applications up to ATEX 1 zones.
The patented electrochemical gas generator cell is compact yet powerful, capable of developing pressures up to 5 bar.
This is sufficient for most applications and allows the dispensing of up to NLGI 2 greases up to 0.6 m through a 6 mm internal diameter tube. This allows sufficient flexibility in terms of containment, with the possibility to mount the cartridge away from various vibration and heat sources. The magnetic holding element allows the quick installation of the grease cup without modifying the existing machine.
